MARIKINA CITY, METRO MANILA — As part of its continuing efforts to ensure world-class competence of its employees, Metropac Movers, Inc. opened its very own training center on Jan. 16, 2019.

The center, officially named OneLogistics, Inc. Technical and Vocational Institute (“OLITECH”), has been accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to offer short courses on warehouse operations; such as warehouse inventory management, proof of delivery, forklift operation, warehouse services, route and load planning and other related courses to employees of MetroPac Movers, Inc. and their dependents.

“The people to be trained by this school are poised to have a bright future,” said TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) Director Antoniette Ma. G. Cardasto, who was one of the guests of honor during the launching of OLITECH.

Classes are expected to begin within the first quarter of 2019, with personnel and subject matter experts of MetroPac Movers, Inc. serving as administrators and faculty.

“The school seeks to enhance the skills level of our employees. In the near future, it will also benefit dependents of our employees,” OLITECH President Michael G. Panlaqui said.

MetroPac Movers, Inc is the first logistics company in the Philippines to open its own TESDA-accredited training facility.

Along with land purchases and continuing investments in Information Technology, facilities and equipment, the training school seeks to further MetroPac Movers’ goal of becoming the best logistics provider in the country.
