MAKATI CITY, METRO MANILA — As part of its continuing efforts to provide more space for its warehouse operations, MetroPac Movers, Inc. recently acquired parcels of land in the town of San Rafael in the province of Bulacan.

The properties, with a total aggregate space of 277,857 square meters, were purchased from various individuals at a total cost of PhP 204,786,038. These will be used by MetroPac Movers, Inc. for the construction of a mega distribution center (North Mega DC) that will serve the company’s existing and potential clients in the fast-moving consumer goods, consumer durables and other industries.

The procurement follows the acquisition of a 202,000-square meter land in General Trias, Cavite worth PhP 1.2 billion that will also be used for the construction of another large distribution center (South Mega DC).

The land purchases complement the 520 brand new trucks acquired by MetroPac Movers, Inc. in the fourth quarter of 2017 and the existing leased warehouse spaces totaling 207,000 square meters scattered in strategic locations across Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Along with continuing investments in Information Technology, equipment and training, these assets seek to further the goal of MetroPac Movers, Inc. to become the best logistics company in the country.

MetroPac Movers, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary and the logistics arm of infrastructure conglomerate, Metro Pacific Investments Corporation.

Starting operations in May 2016, MetroPac Movers’ businesses are warehousing, transport, cross docking, freight forwarding and parcel delivery.
